Well over one thousand men from Lebanon County were recruited and took part in the Civil War.  These pages are dedicated to the honor and memory of those who perished in the battles, died of wounds and disease, or in Confederate prisons, and those listed as MIA, during America's deadliest war.

The research for these pages is difficult and some of the information is not yet 100% accurate.  Soldiers who may have served in the U.S. Navy, Regular Army or various Artillery Batteries and Militias have not yet been included.  Also not yet included are soldiers of the U.S. Colored Troops, some transferred soldiers and soldiers of the Provisional Cavalries.  The place of residence for many of the men listed, especially the 149th Regiment, need also be determined or confirmed.

Other factors to consider are soldiers who were transfered from one regiment or company to another, soldiers who were unaccounted for, soldiers not on Muster-out rolls, unassigned soldiers, and soldiers who were in the Veteran Reserve Corps and Invalid Corps.  Also consider those soldiers who may have crossed county, or even state lines to enroll if recruiting was not being conducted in Lebanon County.

The list below is what I've been able to achieve so far, but there is still much more work to be done.

The current totals are:  160 Killed or Died - Confirmed From Lebanon County; 36 MIA - Confirmed From Lebanon County; 62 Killed or Died - Residence Unknown ^™ (Additional Research Needed); 29 MIA - Residence Unknown ^™ (Additional Research Needed).
