"LAST PATROL"
All members of the military were issued a National Defense Medal for their service during the war. Also the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal were awarded to anyone who was assigned for duty in Vietnam. It is difficult to say exactly how many campaigns all of these men participated in during their tour of duty. There were seventeen campaigns designated during the time that Americans were in Vietnam. But, having participated in two or three during a tour of duty would be average.
