Rails to Trails

Considerable progress has been made on the Lebanon Valley rail trail, although there remains much work to do before the project is finished. The goal is to have one contiguous trail running through the county. Currently, the southern portion of the trail is open to hikers and bikers. Hop on the trail at the Route 419 access in Cornwall. Follow the path to Mt. Gretna and enjoy a tasty treat at the Jigger Shop before heading back. For information contact John Wengert at:

Governor Dick’s Tower

Get a bird’s eye view of the Valley from the top of Governor Dick’s tower. Children love the hike and the added adventure of climbing the tower and look out. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.
